ZNC - Advanced IRC Bouncer

Hi,

Is there a compiled function that can easily strip the control codes from received text, like how IRC clients such as mIRC provide an option for? I've tried coding something to do it, however I'm not proficient with coding, and cannot properly handle stripping of colours (the numerics following, etc.).

If there's no built in function, can someone suggest a function one could use? Perhaps someone's had the same need and has successfully done it.

I've got it done, pretty messy though via nested loops. If anyone's interested in the function, let me know.
