Community Egoboo Development

Hi! I just installed Egoboo and looks great! Except for one small thing...the characters are invisible! All I can see are shadows, but nothing more. Weapons and scenarios are fine. I have a Mobile Intel 915GM/GMS/910GML express graphic card and am running Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty. I already looked at the nVidia fix for this, but is for windows. Any ideas for Ubuntu and this Intel card?

I've got the exact same problem. I'm also running Ubuntu Feisty. I wonder if this is something specific to this distro. Anybody out there have any ideas?

I'm running PCLinuxOS 2007 with Egoboo V2.22 and I also have the same problem; characters are invisible but background looks fine. I'm running on a Dell Inspiron 1150 which is a laptop with an Intel 85X graphics chip. It looks like their is a fix for NVidia under windows, but I don't see much mention of this problem let alone any fixes under Linux.

Any help would be appreciated.

This seems to be related to hardware configuration problem. Do you get a "yes" to the "direct rendering" line, when you invoke "glxinfo" in the console ? If not, might want to go to wiki and Ubuntu forum.

Hi, I'm also have this problem. I'm running under linux ubuntu, and I have new version of egoboo 2.22, in glxinfo it says that rendering is turn on, in game it shows me about 250fps. Do you know what could I do? TIA
