Keep Me Updated
Don't miss out on important updates!
Won't even try to use this iteration as the checksums don't match the signatures on the projects home page. Downloaded the file from the project home page as well, and the checksums don't match. Oh, and "md5" is not available on Linux. You might want to take a look at your documentation and consider changing that to md5sum. Absolutely, positively pathetic.
you need to be the administrator to use this seriously the french version doesn't need that
Cannot edit the default page, which renders the entire exercise useless. The file cannot be written to, even though it is chmod 777. Yeah, I read the DOCs. Yeah, I followed the instructions. Yeah, I'm very comfortable with the terminal. Yeah, I know: it must be me. And yet ... I administer plenty of LAMP configurations on two continents. That's three hours I'll never get back (reading and documenting work takes time). Every project I use from sourceforge, and other sites, I donate to. That would be projects in the dozens, by the way. Can't donate to yours as ... it doesn't work for me.
Where's the PostgreSQL support? MySQL is CRAP for use in real world business. It doesn't scale without a whole lot of tweaking and plugins. In a world where the CRUD must stand up to the ACID tests, MySQL doesn't cut it. PostgreSQL is enterprise-ready immediately "out-of-the-box".
Horrendously coded, rubbish admin interface, outdated (no releases in 2 years). Zen Cart may appear to have more features out-of-the-box than some of the newer carts, but beware -- it will not scale well, it is a nightmare to develop for (and if you do, upgrades will become an additional headache), and the hacked and unorganised nature of the code is a recipe for bugs and security holes. If you are running a business, you will not want to get locked-in to something this fragile and potentially insecure.
