The Zeroconf-to-Zeroconf Toolkit (z2z) is a command line program that extends the reach of Bonjour services beyond the local link by exporting and importing service announcements across different networks. It can be used to bridge two Bonjour networks via a ssh tunnel, or more generally it can be used to make any Bonjour service available on the Internet through the public peer-to-peer storage and lookup service provided by OpenDHT (http://opendht.org). In short, z2z lets you access your iTunes music shares across the Internet! z2z is implemented in pure java and released under BSD license. The java classes in z2z have simple and well-defined interfaces, include complete javadoc documentation, and thus provide a nice platform on which to build other Bonjour applications.
