YAJSW is a java centric alternative to the tanuki java service wrapper. It can thus be easily integrated into existing java applications. Configuration and command line interface are mostly compatible with the original.

I used jsw before and moved because of its license changed. yajsw is an interesting alternative with many features. The capability to restart a service periodically was a very useful one for me. Moreover, getting rid of the jsw binaries simplifies the handling on different platforms.
