Example of how this works:
custom-world.map:
##.####--===~~~~~=-
#$...;;;--===~~~~=-
.....;;;;-====~~~=-
.*........---==~~=-
............-====--

First draft of code to move item definitions to items.xml file.
The code works, but more functionality should be moved into it.

I'm using the current OS X snapshot, and my reagents show up wrong on the mix and ztats screens.
I just started a new game, and you're supposed to have ginseng 3, garlic 4. Instead it shows that I have ginseng 4, garlic 0. It even shows that I have no garlic, but doesn't show that I have 0 of any other missing reagent.
What's more, I can still mix 3 cure spells, despite supposedly having 0...

In the Moonglow reagent shop, the shopkeeper gives out the wrong reagents. For example, if I go and buy 10 garlic, the shopkeeper gives me 10 ginseng.

Actually, there is at least one way to cancel the transaction in XU4 without virtue loss, you can enter in the gold value and if you don't have enough it'll tell you you don't have the funds and cancel, but there doesn't appear to be a way to simply cancel it if you have the gold but decide you don't want to buy.

If you try to buy reagents in XU4, and after saying how many you'd like to buy find that it's more gold than you have on hand, there's no way of cancelling the transaction without stealing.
DOS - Functions as it should. If you just hit enter without a gold value, or you enter 0 for the gold value, they'll just ask 'anything else?' as though they understand you can't afford it. No virtue loss.
