xlSQL Y7 - the new release of xlSQL xlSQL is a single user relational database using the Microsoft Excel fileformat for data storage. xlSQL data can be created and queried with the full MySQL or HSQLDB SQL dialects as well as with native xlSQL commands. xlSQL comes with a type 4, JDBC 2 driver for Microsoft Excel format files. (includes OpenOffice, StarOffice, etc.) xlSQL runs on Windows XP with Java 1.4.2. New Features in Y7: native DBA interface: "xldba" export filesystem data to Excel with dir2xls all new utilities: export excel to XML or SQL script format (HSQLDB or MySQL) xlSQL Y7 comes with a zero-admin MySQL Server -included- which runs out of the zip no installation needed, xlSQL just runs, Windows directory and registry remain untouched download contains all software (excluding JRE) and is still less than 5Mb and much more; The xlSQL Yn codebase, although alpha, has been taken into production at numerous sites worldwide. xlSQL has proven to be a very stable read-write SQL Excel JDBC Driver.
