FIM (http://www.fim.uni-erlangen.de) announces the release of XLML 1.2 (http://www.xlml.org) with many new features: - Table of contents and enumerations with easy editable conditions. - Video and audio embedding with bandwidth choice (using RealPlayer). - Links to named objects and bookmarks. - Insertion of title, enumeration, etc. for named objects. - Automatic encoding detection of XLML documents. - Automatic document zipping. - ILIAS patches to import XLML documents. - Configurable output encoding. - XHTML conformant HTML code is generated. XLML is an XML-XSL-Java based HTML generator for easily authoring e-learning (and other) documents. This initaial release was already used in several sucessful projects like eL3 (http://www.el3.de). Several dozen e-learning documents have been created and used in the learning platforms ILIAS (http://www.ilias.uni-koeln.de/ios/) and Hyperwave.
