Can you give steps to reproduce this behaviour? (e.g. create a 10k file remote, resume a 15k file to it, result will be 15,5k)
What FTP-Server is remote, have you tried different ones / have you tried to resume on these with other FTP clients?
Which version of wput are you using?.

I guess the problem may be somehow related to bug number 1651042.

Other tests show that it's not always 512 bytes, but generally those are longer and corrupted. See the attached files.

I used wput with breaking and resuming one file a couple of times. The resulting file on remote FTP is 512 bytes longer than original. Probably some bytes are repeated.

sorry, don't have time to install git to see if this would work. I'm already 1.5 hours into a "5 minute" FREE job for someone, so I'll just split the file and use ftp. If you've fixed the bug, feel free to close the ticket--just trying to help you improve the product.

When trying to use wput to upload an 11GB file, I get this error:
Error: File `list.gz' does not exist. Don't know what to do about this URL.
Nothing done. Try `wput --help'.
would be great if it supported >2GB files (wget does--that's why I was trying to use wput because ftp doesn't handle >2GB files) Would be nice if it gave correct error message.
uname -a:
