JustEmpire and TEmpire (Tiny Empire) are two Empire-derivative games based (very!) loosely on Walter Bright's original Empire concept (classicempire.com), using JustBasic (justbasic.com) and Borland Turbo C/C++ (bdn.borland.com/museum). Others possible.
shanky_singh has been added as a developer to the World of Empires project. Here's hoping that the proverbs, "the more the merrier," and "two heads are better than one" prove true! Perhaps TEmpire will actually materialize one day.
DOSBOX 0.65 has been released, and it is very handy for DOS-related projects under Win32 and Linux. So I am trying it out, even under Fedora Core 5 presently. Kudos to the DOSBox people. http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/download.php?main=1

AsciiTbl.Asm now builds AsciiTbl.Com via NASM. AsciiTbl.Exe is no-frills mingw32 (Dev-C++ project files fossilized for time being).
ASCIITBL.C code compiled to both ASCIITBL.COM (Turbo C++) and ASCIITBL.EXE (It was just something to do--more than anything I wanted to test the new mingw32).
