Woas (Wiki on a stick) is a complete wiki in a single HTML (web browser) file that works in every major browser, including older versions (even IE6!). It can store, edit, and display wiki pages, images, and files within itself and is tremendously useful as a writing, research, note-taking, documentation, educational, and/or information organizing tool. It allows information to be easily shared and can even generate simple websites! It has macros, plug-ins, and a Help system.
The zip file contains a testing release of a fixed Woas along with some plugins (more to come later), a signed and timestamped TiddlySaver.jar, and an unsigned version of TiddlySaver called UnsignedTiddlySaver.jar that must be renamed to TiddlySaver.jar if used.
The core saving code is very mature: I have never had data corrupted with this version (but I also keep backups, no matter what program I'm using). The changes are primarily to get past the loading and saving restrictions that modern browsers have added.
See the Loading & Saving page in the included Woas file for information on using this Woas with different browsers.
I had wanted to be able to release updated TiddlySaver.jar files independently of Woas file releases, but hadn't realized that Sourceforge would then present it as the file one should download and, of course, it's useless on its own. The TiddlySavers have therefore been moved back to the zip file as before.
Please create a ticket If you find any problems with the file (but please read the Beta testing and Known Issues pages in the included Woas first). Most of the testing has been done with current browsers in Windows at the moment because of time constraints, so error reports are helpful. Once this testing phase is finished I will complete testing on older browsers. I've been told that saving on Linux is working with Chrome (using the TiddlySaver.jar) and with Firefox (with the TiddlyFox extension and with Java and the TiddlySaver.jar)
