The Windows Installer XML (WiX) is a toolset that builds Windows installation packages from XML source code. The toolset supports a command line environment that developers may integrate into their build processes to build MSI and MSM setup packages.
Priceless for VS developers.
Well done!
very great
Cooler than NSIS as it's MSI based.
A true alternative to build our setups.
Good
GUI development is painful, but everything else is great.
A very elegant and efficient installer. XML layout makes maintenance on installation scripts a pleasure.
it ok
Though it takes a while for me to get started, once I got a grip of it it's a extensive good tool. This blog helps: http://blogs.technet.com/alexshev/archive/2008/07/01/from-msi-to-wix-part-19-the-art-of-custom-action-part-1.aspx
WiX is a lifesaver! Since Microsoft provides no proper authoring tools for MSI, and other commercial products are bloated and expensive, WiX is the best option for creating MSI installers fairly easily.
After using it for only a couple of days I can see the value add to the organization, especially if complicated install packages need to be built.
excellent flexibility
excellent stuff
Better than one i recently downloaded named Advanced Installer... its not really Advanced any more !!!
there is no better way for complex setups
It's usefull and intelligent! Congratulations!

Good project
We have moved to WiX from the buggy InstallShield. I'm happy now :)
