Is the source code available?
How hard is it to build it? Are there a step by step instructions for those who have some experience building kernel drivers but do not do that on a daily basis?

Drivers for recent (64-bit) version of Windows must be signed before they'll load. So it's a main problem. Thanks to Microsoft!
I do not want to pay anyone for each build.

when it will be finished… is it working with win7 / 2008 now?
Latest version at https://sourceforge.net/projects/wipfw/files/experimental working on win7/2008 but not properly tested yet.
i installed drivers and how to run ipfw itself?
Please try the latest release: install helper service with "install_svc.cmd"
Hi, I tried to install wipfw 0.5.5b on my win7 x64 today,
The service starts but it stops after 5 seconds.
I got this error:
"Current rules:
my_socket failed 2, cannot talk to kernel module
ipfw: socket"
Any ideas?
The same problem on Windows Server 2008R2 x64.
"my_socket failed 2, cannot talk to kernel module"
This version supports only x32 now

@c00ker, The description of this app states v0.5.5b supports 2008 R2 (which only comes in x64 bit) though your reply says it only supports x32??
I would like to debug, assist for x64 and 2008 R2.
Where is the source available? (SVN is very very old)
Thanks

What kind of news about support windows r2 2008 x64?

they must but then again almost everything in windows can be customized, a simple Google search result: http://thehotfix.net/forums/index.php?/topic/25436-how-to-load-and-run-unsigned-drivers-in-64-bit-windows-7/
so it can be turned off, please provide a 64 bit version if you can, there are less 32bit system and more 64bit system each they.
