WinLAMP is an installer for Apache, MySQL, and PHP. Runs on Windows 2000 or better. WinLAMP also optionally installs phpMyAdmin, SQLyog, documentation help files, and an ActivePerl installer. Mini version installs only Apache & PHP.
Simple to setup. Just run the installer and start the server, drop files in place, start using myphpadmin from a link already on the tray. It starts initially offline so you can use it to develop local-access-only apps as regular web apps. One annoying bug exists where you may have to change the port (e.g. from 80 to 8080) if there's a problem. (I suggest also getting Eclipse for PHP developers. You'll also have some hassle there changing default port to 8080 or whatever you choose.)
