What's happening?

  • Comment: Support for Vista 64

So, for me the monitor itself works ok in Windows 7, but WinACD doesn't install. No onscreen display for the brightness. Also there seems to be some exclamation mark thing with the USB hub though I haven't found an actual problem with the hub.

I'm using the monitor in Windows 7 64 RC without a problem, though it sees it as both a Generic PNP monitor and an Apple 23" HD Cinema Display (I'm using an ADC to DVI adapter on it as well as it's an ADC monitor). But it's nice to be able to adjust the brightness in Vista (32 bit). Not necessary in Windows 7, AFAIK.

  • Followup: RE: Device not supported: Cinema HD 23 - APP9

Just done it for my display which has the same ID but not sure how I can send you the files needed. see the thread I replied to recently, what needs to be done is installing the .inf files as instructed in the thread I referenced and subsituting the dll and exe files. I didn't rebuild the msi installer package.

  • Followup: RE: Virtual Control Panel-None Present

I have had the same problem, the issue is new HID for displays not included in the code of the current WinACD version that don't bring up the virtual control panel. To get it working (in Windows XP) you need to add your display's HID to list of displays to winacd.inf and acdmonitor.inf. Then install them to the USB hub and monitor respectively. You can find instructions for how to do...

  • Control Panel: None present

I am getting the control panel: None present problem with my 23" ACD, Aluminium surround purchased 2008. I have found a few threads on this and have managed to edit the winacd.inf and acdmonitor.inf files and now the monitor shows up as an ACD in device manager as does the USB HID, with the driver provider as winacd. However it does not show the controls in display properties. I...
