- Fixed memory leaks which caused Warehouse Explorer to run out of memory on large queries. - Added a timeout for queries in the properties file. The default timeout has been set to 60 seconds. - Added a check box to "Expand all levels" in the view menu to simplify the view. - Disabled automatic query execution on "Explore!" option and added the "Run query" icon - this allows the user to drop dimensions and measures in any sequence without it trying to execute the query midway. - Explore with MDX now has "NON EMPTY" added by default. - The title on the standalone MDX editor screen now has the cube name as the title. - Added a host node to the Data Source tree view to make it easier to organise and identify multiple data sources. - Focus is now given to the MDX editor that is added to the tab by default. - The user may now use the Enter key on the authentication dialogue. - GUI Enhancements to the authentication dialogue. - Increased the maximum memory used to 1GB (as against the previous 64MB limit). This allows for larger result sets to be returned. - Added close buttons to MDX Editor tabs. - Error dialogues now display the error in a text box where text is selectable and copyable. This makes errors in queries easier to debug.
Warehouse Explorer v 0.8 has some usability enhancements and some issues have been resolved. It's now much easier to identify which XMLA provider you're connecting to and easier to debug in case you've got any query errors. There's also a timeout (defaulted to 60 seconds) so that in case a query is either taking too long, or the server cancels it, Warehouse explorer won't stop. The memory allocation has also been increased to 1GB now to accommodate larger results.
