  • Followup: RE: List of dependencies

So what about xerces-J, mysql, postgres, and all that stuff? I just want to make sure things are installed that wkp might need. I get that it needs a servlet container.

  • Followup: RE: List of dependencies

We do have an ant task to build the Web Keepass Root folder (and a .war file) included in all file releases. Technically to build the source, the only jar you need is the webboltons.jar that contains our applet and supporting server code. Of course to deploy it you need a Servlet container – like tomcat, jetty or jBoss and appropriate JDBC drivers….

  • Followup: RE: No MySQL option for no-gui installation?

You are correct - The Linux - terminal mode installer does not support MySQL or Oracle. Only our internal data source. The GUI (X11 and MS Windows) installer does support all 3..

  • List of dependencies

I know Java tends to by "build once, run everywhere" and a lot of package will include bundled jar files, but I would like to make an ebuild for Gentoo of webkeepass and the Gentoo policy is to try not to use bundled .jars as much as possible. If I get a list of dependencies of what need to go into $CATALINA_HOME/webapass/ROOT/WEB-INF/lib it would be a lot easier to write the ebuild.

  • No MySQL option for no-gui installation?

Just curious, can we not use MySQL now? I noticed that there is a CreateTabelsMySQL.sql file, but no users are created that way. How does one create an admin user after installation?.

  • Provide a war file

It would be nice, if you could provide a war file, so that Web KeePass can be deployed on existing tomcat installations.
