IE issue

  1. 2009-11-05 16:21:42 UTC

Hello! Suddenly we can not open files when running webcollab in IE. Right clicking and "saving as" works ok. Both options work well in Firefox.

However when attemting to open files in IE a message pops up sayng that IE can not download from the particular site

IE worked fine for 20 months; wonder what might have created this issue. The webcollab version is a bit old; for sure not the most 2-3 recent ones

    thanks, Nikos

Hi Nikos, I'd be curious to know the file type you are storing. IE likes to sometimes make working with some files difficult (e.g. MP3 files), Perhaps a recent service pack to your version of IE has added a "feature" of this nature. Does your problem impact on all file types, e.g. .DOC or .TXT files? Just my 2 cents, Regards Fred Houweling

Fred, its just ordinary .docs, .odts and .pdfs

By the way the problem has vanished today; yesterday I had received complaints from a lot of partners in Europe and i also realised myself there was a problem.

Today, I just checked and everything is ok

what do you figure out of this?

    Nikos

    Hi Nikos and All,

We have checked today WebCollab and it works perfectly fine, you can download different files. Maybe yesterday the server was blocked for some time... Nevertheless now it works as before:) Greetings, Agnieszka
