There is no better webcalendar once you have tried out all functions. Just the layout is a bit outdated but therefore works on every device that can handle HTML.

Need graphical customization easier

WebCalendar has been a good Events calendar for my website. Unfortunately, my hosting company has removed PHP 5.2 due to potential security issues and upgraded to 5.4. WebCalendar CAPTCH does not work with PHP versions above 5.2. I have requested, as have many others, for the correction of his problem. There appears to be no one addressing the issue. I say this because I cannot find any evidence in the various SourceForge forums that it is being addressed. I only see request for help, like mine, with no subsequent follow up or communication on the issues. I am currently seeking an alternative for WebCalendar.

I have used this open source calendar several times. It is robust for a shared calendar - works across multi time zones. If you have several users who need to have varied access to a shared calendar this will do it. You can also use this for a public calendar. BUT there is NO support. No experts who will answer questions. The documentation is only OK. But it has gaps which will suck your time. It installs easily and does the basics. This code needs new owner/champions. I think there is a real need for this exact sort of open source calendar. Please someone do this..... I would pay for support if it was out there.

Seems to have most things i need BUT... Themes look awful. Need a compact One-Day-Per-Line Yearly theme that displays only dates that have events. ie: Date - Event 22-Dec 13 - This Event is happening , click to see full details for the event. 01-Feb-14 - Another Event happening , click to see full details for the event. and so on for a selectable number start and stop days/months. Otherwise, quite a powerful software. Maybe I can pay someone to make a new theme for this?

love webcalendar but wondering how I make a feature request. One feature that I miss is some type of social sharing :) It would be really neat to share the event on my FB timeline.

Amazing project! Use this calendaring solution for work place. Have been using it for local Red Cross DAT scheduling for months. Use it at home to keep family's schedule straight.

Good and useful software

Might be the only serious calendar software currently running, actually usable and actively developed. The basics are promising, the details are lacking all over the place. The design and all available themes are plain awful. I cannot tell about other translations but the German oversetting are unforstandable does not make sense sentences cantained which yuo dornt knw the meansig frorm end cannot read water source. If you are looking for functionality only, you might not need to look much further.

Does not support SQLite anymore in the current PHP-version because it does not use PDO.

Simple, intuitive, and very easy to use.
