Of course mainly PC users would like to open these incompatible files on their machines, but this tool works only on Apples. So I have been sent such a file, but still can't open it since I use a PC. If I had a Mac to run this tool I wouldn't need it since I would have Safari ... So can I now tell the guy from the other company that he has to install this tool, extract the archive, then ZIP it and mail it ... ? Guess it may still be usefull for somebody, but I would rather want Mac people to use the formats we use on PCs since 1990 ... like saving a ZIPed folder ... Hell, that would just be too nice to the bad MS people right ?

This little app works great! For some reason my Summer 2011 iMac, 10.6.8, with Safari 5 would no longer read .webarchive files I had saved. Also, MSWord (which is supposed to be able to read them) says "invalid file." Freshly saved webarchive via Safari! Anyway - this app at least allowed me to convert them to a folder of resources, among which is a FILENAME index.html file that can be opened by Firefox (and possibly other browsers) & voila! ... there is the webpage from the webarchive. I have quite a few saved that were important to me ... so this saved me! Thanks to the developer! I have no idea why someone would rate this with a thumbs down??? It works.
