Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately for your request, this widget is very simple and doesn't do any graphing itself, it simply grabs the graph images off of the USGS website station pages such as this one:

I looked around on the station pages and didn't see any option for switching which units to display. If you can find some way to get the graphs on the station pages to display in metric, then I'd be happy to add a check-box to the widget that would pass the appropriate parameters to load the metric graphs.

If the USGS site isn't going to help, then you could check out the WhitewaterWidget:

I don't think it does metric currently, but that widget is doing the graphing internally so there is the possibility of unit conversion in the widget code.

Let me know if you figure out how to get metric out of the USGS site,
