Wallch is a general purpose Wallpaper Changer for the GNOME desktop which can change the desktop background image after an adjustable time. The aim of Wallch is to make it easier for you to keep your desktop "fresh" and new!
- Changing Desktop Wallpapers on PC start-up
- Changing Desktop Wallpaper choosing images randomly
- Changing Desktop Wallpaper changing the images on random time
- Desktop and sound notification when wallpaper changes
- Live Earth Wallpaper
- Taking Screenshot
- History Logging
- Features JPG, PNG, GIF and BMP support
This is almost perfect, almost. However a big feature built into it already but not implemented in the start-up setup is the ability to randomize pictures. Not time, Pictures... It is available from running normally. But when configured for running as a Start-Up App neither the option or the ability to set it is possible. This to me is a big downer...If it works one way it should work all ways. Either that or add command switches to run from the terminal mode to set it! Thanks! merc669
Very nice ! Just a suggestion : add an option to exclude hidden directories like .thumbnails.
i use Fedora 16 and when i try to install it compiling the sources (qmake-qt4 *.pro) i see a message: "Project ERROR: Package libnotify not found" - but i have libnotify-0.7.4-1 installed!!
This is an nice wallpaper changer mainly due to the "Live Earth Wallpaper"....
