Thanks for your interest. Unfortunately, the codebase for version 1.5.0 is vastly different from 1.40, and there are not plans to add to the 1.40 codebase.
Version 1.5.0 should be available before the end of the year. I am currently the only author actively working on the code, and am in the middle of moving, so I have not had time to give to this project as of late.
