There is no problem with the server name. I guess the connection string does fit your needs. If you have any .NET application using a connection string to access your DB, try using that as this issue is purely a .NET issue. You can also download the open source of the application and compare it to how you are accessing your DB.
Did you remember to restart the virtual directory after changing the SQLManager.xml by changing the web.config with an empty characters or restarting the IIS?
