brilliant, gigantic and best software, despite not supporting all main formats! howver, thumb down because of this annoyances since years: 1 no custom savings on exit (full compression mode) if you forget to pick the codec (usually DivX/Xvid) always an uncompressed vid on disk by default. 2 preview boxes always on by default - a) entirely useless on small videos b) stuttering/flicker even on quad cores with GForce card. 3 avi append no indicator file position like Cool Edit Pro does with mp3 append 4 no sound which doesn't bother me but the rubish message of an "assumed" VBR

Very cool program for AVI files. Who use AVI files today? Who cares about AVI? Who knows about frameservers etc? Where is AAC, AC3, Vorbis, H.264, MP4, MKV, FLV? I always download new versions of VirtualDub, and I always disappointed... (Thanks God, X.264 project can compress my MTS camera files to MKV)
