The videotrans project is a set of scripts that converts a movie file in any format that mplayer understands (AVI, etc) to a DVD compatible VOB file, including all the necessary conversions. Further, an automatic DVD menu generator is provided.

These scripts work great. I use movie-to-dvd the most. It handles everything pretty much automatically. Read the documentation and look at the examples! It is really pretty simple.

No clue what to do with these files. Doesn't give a program toconvert AVI's to me...
