Video Monkey is a Mac-only application for the conversion of video between a variety of formats. It borrows concepts from the great, but now defunct Video Hub software.
Converted flv from google video when mpeg streamclip choked. Anyone know about frame rate issues? Something is changing upon conversion, but no big deal
Does exactly what it needs to do, no hastle.
gret
I've been batch encoding all my old avi files to mp4s and am extremely pleased. I have more options for control over the encoding process than I've found in other programs, and the end result is superb. It's also very fast compared to other programs I've used.
Wow, great replacement for the now ageing but great in its day visualhub. Fast and very easy to use. Cant wait for for the other formats to ready to use
Love the automatic metadata fetching when encoding :D Perfect for importing into iTunes.
It is pleasant to me
yes,very good
stated out with beta and keeps improving liljon725
Christ what about Tiger users?
Does not seem to work on Quad G5 PPC. Program will run but importing an avi does not show on the list of files to convert and creates spinning beachball. Quad G5 6.5 GB RAM 10.5.8
great program to replace visualhub on the mac, and convert videos. Needs better .mkv support. And rm rmv support would be great to get rid of realmedia files as well. :)
good
How can you have a Mac-only file & then Zip it using a Windows-based program? Who missed the morning coffee on this one?
xgrid support would be a really nice thing to go for ... but even like this... it's the best freeware application for video encoding i've ever used
