Hi there, I'm another consumer who had the exact same problem as you with the Smart Screen filter blocking the qBittorrent 5.2.1 update on Windows 11. I'm the one who figured out that you just need to click "More info" and then "Run anyway" – that lets the installation continue just fine. That said, I also had a different issue that you didn't mention: after the installation finished and the program was already running, the installer window stayed open. Clicking "Finish" did nothing – it just wouldn't close. I had to kill the process via Task Manager. That part only happened to me, not to you. Hopefully the developers fix the Smart Screen warning (maybe a signing issue) so it works as smoothly as before. And if they could also look into the installer not closing properly, that would be great. Thanks for raising this! – Another user

Good afternoon. Today the program offered to update to version 5.2.1, but when I try to install the update, the message Smart Screen filter blocked the installation of version 5.2.1 pops up. This did not happen in Windows 11 prior to version 5.2.1. everything installed as it should. Please fix the program so that Windows does not display similar messages when installing or trying to update qBittorrent. I hope you can fix the program so that everything works as before. Thanks in advance.

I have been using qBittorrent for donkeys years and it is bulletproof. An absolutely brilliant piece of software. Great work!

Version 5.2.0 refuses to launch. Much like other reviews, I have reverted back to the previous version and it now works fine again. Really good product otherwise.

For 5.2.0, like others I was not able to successfully start it. Fixed it by going to my roaming app data folder and deleting a file called "lockfile". C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\qBittorrent. Started fine after that.
