This project is a true NFS server implementation for Linux, with allfunctionality occurring in user-space (with the benefits and drawbacksthat go with such an implementation).

I'm pleased to announce the continuation of the User-Space NFS project here at SourceForge. I've taken the old project that was being maintained Olaf Kirch and have moved it here. The previous project has been stagnant over the past 3 years, and in need of some updating. Furthermore, we now no longer have to deal with the linux.mathematik.tu-darmstadt.de site shutting off access or deleting the projects' files. It would have been a loss to the Open Source Community had these files disappeared; this project is too useful to risk losing it. The last original files (based upon nfs-server 2.2 beta 47) have now been checked into the source tree, and a gziped tarball of the source has been created. Thanks to Olaf Kirch, Mark Shand, Don Becker, and all the others who have contributed to this project in the past.
