  • Thank you for a good program under a free open source license!
  • I like UFRaw supports my old Sigma SD 14. Use it with B+W filter to get infrared photos, because they need no regular color image extraction.
  • Running Gimp 2.8 on Linux Mint 17.3 Works great! Easy installation and opens Nikon NEF files perfectly!
  • Huge help, it's just saved my time. High quality and punctual software.
  • powerful, full control of workflow, only missing some features
  • UFRaw makes it easy to access RAW files under Linux - fantastic that I don't have to use proprietary software to use my camera.
  • It does work properly with Canon EOS 700D raw file format! Under Windows the out-path is not honored...
  • UFRaw crashes when try to process Fuji X20 raw file.
  • Thanks for good program!

  • I've the same problem as Lloyd had with his Win 7-64, but I'm running XP Pro - that is, the same missing "libgdk-win32-2.0-0.dll" error message. Reinstalling UFRaw, as suggested in the error message, does not solve the problem - UFRaw will not start. My GIMP 2 is installed and running properly - as suggested in the UFRaw author's page - and, I'm not interested in running UFRaw under Gimp 2, but as a standalone as advertised. Attempting to duplicate Lloyd's file-copy suggestions is difficult as XP, apparently, doesn't have the same file-copy/merge functions and jargon as XP, and the possible alternatives, with all the sub- and sub-sub-folders is too much foll-de-roll. If anyone has had the same problem with XP and a solution, I'd appreciate hearing it - in detail.
  • There is a problem using this with Windows 7-64. When you try to run it, you will get an error saying that you are missing libgdk-win32-2.0-0.dll. The fix is to copy the folders in the UFRaw directory, along with the files in them, to the GIMP 2 directory. When it asks if you want to merge the folders, say "Yes". When it asks if you want to replace the files, say "No". You will be copying the "bin", "lib", and "share" folders. This will run great under Gimp after you do this. You'll be able to load and edit almost any of the RAW file formats.
