Description
Triceratops is a polyphonic subtractive synthesizer plugin for use with the LV2 architecture, there is no standalone version and LV2 is required along with a suitable host (e.g. Jalv, Zynjacku, Ardour, Qtractor).
This synth has three ADSR envelopes, one for amplification / volume, one for filter cut off frequency, and one for LFO modulation. Three BPM tempo synced LFOs are available routable to oscillator pitch, pulsewidth and filter frequency, LFOS can trigger on key press, or run freely, Oscillators have saw,square/pulse,sine and noise, detune controls, inertia (portamento), pulsewidth (for square/pulse only), an oscillator sync mode (think Jean Michael Jarre's lazerharp sound) and rudimentary FM mode where filter ADSR envelope and oscillator three becomes an high frequency modulator for oscillator one. Unison mode thickens the sound of the oscillators by doubling and detuning them (effectively turning the synth into a 6 oscillator one).

Probably the best free softsynth for linux. Coming along well, even a manual in the works :)
