    Hi,

Traffix was used to illustrate the car following computation
model as part of my PhD dissertation. It is based on
    a separate sub-project, found at allocator.sourceforge.net.
I have spent most of my time on that second project which
is also now stuck due to problems with placement using
the gcc compiler. See the discussion under:

    http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=21251

So basically these projects are awaiting a resolution
of the bugs used for C++ placement of instantiated
    objects into shared memory.

What is your interest in open source road traffic
    simulators?

I would like to work on this project again. I am hoping to get the allocator project released first.

    Marc
