Had to change to an new serial toolkit, cause the old one could not handle ports above COM9. Installed it and implemented to existing application within half a day. Great!

I've used it for many years. and it simply works very stably. There is extensive documentation to read. Don't skip that step. Serial Port IO is a strange beast under Windoze.
