Dear Craig and DoDi,
Thank you for your responses to my E-mail. I am quite surprised to have had a response this quickly! It just shows the quality of the team members and the community, commensurate with the product itself.
Craig, I will implement the temporary fix as you suggest, or perhaps outside of the library as I was want to do. I now realize having brought down the Cabinet SDK and having read the documentation that Microsoft surprisingly had built in no support for streaming, which explains why it was not originally implemented. Last night in bed before going to sleep I had a crazy idea. Why not 'fool' the DLL by passing a THandleStream handle rather than a file handle? Does that idea have merit as to how it would be implemented? I guess that I will find out in about a week. By the way, will you also be coding the complementary AddFromStream function as well?
Another question for you. In my application I make heavy use of threading. Having scoured the documentation in vain, I assumed that the libraries are not thread safe, although I would like them to be. Is that the case? Anyway thank you sooo much for your assistance, and "May the force be with you".
