Still existent in Ubuntu Karmic(freeglut 2.x, nvidia 190.42) even if i force MESA instead of the proprietary NVIDIA GLX drivers, it fails to render Texture mapping on cars and some surfaces in "Best" Video Mode.

Hi I am a huge fan of Torcs and what I miss is a story behind it. Something like, I start with a low-end car, racing in the desert in low-end tracks (with no pits, nothing) and later I start progressing to better tracks and cars.
In a "mafia" style chapter, maybe I can even be bribed to smash other "specific" car. I mean in some "mission" my goal would not be...

I'm using TORCS 1.3.1 on WinXP for bot testing and development. I've found that if multiple practice runs are performed in less than one minute (or more specifically, in the same minute of my computer's clock), the results file for the runs after the first are not generated. I'm guessing this is true for other race types as well. Maybe the results file name could include the seconds as well...
