  • Dear Petr: I have been relying on Tiny Player over many years for its elegance in small size and yet impressive capability (DirectX filter base). I noticed a symptom recently, about multi-languages. [Configuration] tinyplayer 2.8.5 MS Windows 8.1, OEM USA Locale = USA default console code page = 65001 default console font = Lucida Console [Usage] MS Windows loale in language 1. audio file names in language 2. common condition in international projects. [Symptom] Saving play lists when the languages of Windows locale and file names are different. On retrieval, the entries of language 2 in play list are mangled. [OK] 1. initial display of audio file names, regardless whether languages of Windows locale and file names are the same. 2. saving play list, when languages of Windows locale and file names are same. [Suggestion] 1. Maybe Tiny Player 2.8.5 saves play list per Windows locale, leading to the character mangle (language 2) in retrieved play list? 2. Can play lists be always saved in UTF-8, for usage in multiple languages? Hope that the above info. would be enough for a fruitful investigation. Thanks for the excellent work. Ray
