  • Export multiple sheets at once

Exporting to PNG only works for the current sheet. If it did all sheets at once it would be better. Also, if it could autodetect landscape vs. portrait orientation and automatically rotate the images 90 degrees when needed this would be better than the manual process used now.

  • Comment: Design rules on pin-type "Not connected"

Not convinced of the point in putting 'Not Connected' type pins on a symbol. Only relevant if the symbol is mirroring the footprint - not convinced that is good either. But yes - there is a conflict in the DRC. I would omit NC pins from the symbol and use the 'X' on the schematic for usable but unconnected in this instance pins. I think this prevents irrelevant error messages. Phil.

  • Design rules on pin-type "Not connected"

If I create a symbol with pins of type "Not connected" to get a nice looking pin with the "No connect cross" I run into problems when running the Check Design Rules. If use the design warning "Unconnected net" I still get "This item is not connected to anything else", even though the pin is of this particular type. If I put another "No connect cross" on the pin in the schematic i get "More than...

  • Comment: Can't move item back on grid

This has been noted before. Moving things is always relative. Once off-grid always off-grid. It may be better in v2.70.00 but the fractional coordinate introduced by being off-grid scuppered connectivity in 2.60.01. The only ways to correct it were to delete and re-place or to edit the database. Trying to put a symbol back on grid visually with snap off was very unlikely to work. Allowing...

  • Install in Windows 7

Downloaded the latest TinyCAD 2.70.00 b248 from sf web site. Ran it to install under Windows 7 home premium 64 bit. (Also a clean installation) The resulting installed program will not run - error message says cannot find msvcr71.dll. This file has to be downloaded (from somewhere else) and placed in the TinyCAD install directory. (Preferred location according to Microsoft) (If your OS...

  • Can't move item back on grid

When an item is placed off grid, turning snap to grid on does not make a moving item snap to grid. The item *moves* the length of one grid. This could be intentional in the code but I doubt that. This makes it very hard to get an item back to grid if it once gets off grid. The right way to handle this would be to always snap moving items to grid if snap to grid is on. Comments anyone?.

  • Comment: Netlists are missing connections

If multiple net alises for one net are a problem for the PCB designer or the netlist file format, the schematic designer could be given a dropdown list of aliases for each net, from which they choose the name of the net that should appear in the netlist.

  • New duplicate key

The duplicate key, Ctrl+U, is very useful and speeds up the schematic drawing process, but with normal hand size it is virtually impossible to type Ctrl+U with your left and (the right hand looked on the mouse). I suggest that we change the duplicate key to Ctrl+D and removes the "Design details" from Ctrl+D. The "Design details" command is not used that often and could use no or another...
