• Thesistant Project Overview

  I thought it might be time to highlight exactly what Thesistant is and how you can help. With Thesistant we hope to make the process of writing a Thesis easier by encompassing the annoyances that I have seen and experienced into an easy to understand interface. Here are some of the benefits that you obtain by using Thesistant: * All of your References are kept within the same Thesistant Window for quick access (No more opening multiple windows!) * Citing a Reference is as easy as dragging the Reference you want to Cite into your editor. * If you remove a Reference your cited References are automatically updated (renumbered and removed if necessary) * Scratch Paper is always accessible * An Equation editor for quick access to Greek Letters and Math symbols * Bibliography is automatically generated, either use one of our provided templates or create your own and fill out the information (Author, publisher etc). * Adding Tables, Images, and formatting (bold, italics, Underline, Highlighting, Subscript and SuperScript). * Highlight interesting Parts of your Reference Paper for quick access later (This does not actually change the copy of your reference paper) * Change the colors of Thesistant to suit your needs. * Save, Open and Reference supports PDF, Doc, Text, and RTF or as a Thesistant Project. (Must install Ghostscript for PDF saving) * Uses WeifenLuo's Docking for an extremely customizable Interface. * Built in Spell/Check and Find/Replace * Help available through Thesistant or on these forums. So what can you do to help? Create a Thesistant Community! Use the tracker to suggest new features or to report Bugs (there's bound to be some!). Use the forum to discuss ideas, we are currently looking for an efficient, free, way to extract well formatted text from PDF's. Any feedback is welcome. • Beta Version Released

  The Beta Version of the project has been released. Be aware that this is a beta so there will be bugs, don't fret we are hard at work on them. The worst one right now is if you try to save as PDF before setting up ghostview it'll crash. For help setting up GhostView please read the help page (it's the last topic). --JP
