The Ambisonic Reflector project is up and running. The Reflector is a panner with an early reflections generator which works in Ambisonic format both internally and externally. The initial development was sponsored by Gerald Bennett at ICST, Zurich and coded by Dave Malham from the Music Research Centre at the University of York, working through his Dogma Design consultancy. Lack of time meant that after the initial success in getting the basics working, the code languished largely untouched from mid 2005. We had considered the possibility of making the development an open source one from quite early on and requests on the Sursound mailing list resulted in its incarnation as a Sourceforge based project in February 2007.
