If I have a file without any extension, for example named "file" instead of "file.txt" or "file.cpp" or whatever, this file does not show in the open file dialog, even if "All Files" is selected. The only way to open such a file into textflow is to say so in the command line, i.e. start the editor with "textflow file".
Maybe you are listing files called *.* instead of *?.
