  • Highlighting and Tabs

I've been using WinEdt for years till I migrated to Mac. I love TeXShop, but there are a couple of basic things missing in it. I think that text highlighting needs to be improved. It would be great to see the text between the $ signs change color. The same goes for things like \ref{} and \label{}, \section{} and \begin{} and so on... The way this is done in Aquamacs is simply beautiful. I...

  • Comment: Bigger font size for headings

By the way, it would be very nice that headings are somewhat differentiated from other text.

  • Bigger font size for headings

Hi, It would be nice to have larger font size for headings (lines beginning with \chapter, \section...). It would help me seeing my document's structure. I took a look at the code, I don't think it would be difficult, by I don't have much Cocoa background... Thank you very much for your work,

  • ident of multiline paragraphs

I would like to set the wrapping so that a block of text (the text between two newlines) wraps to the same indent level as the first line in that block. For example, if I start a block with indent 2, then I would like to have all lines in this block to start with indent 2. In this way one can use indent levels to visually identify discrete chunks of source.

  • Comment: Editor Improvement: section Folding

Yes, being able to hide sections and subsections and subsubsections ... of the text would be a killer feature. I'm currently considering learning VIM to have this outline/folding feature, I'm missing so much in TeXShop!!! *SIGH* I also used the outliner view in MS Word extensively and especially for big writing projects (as my phd thesis) it would be very helpful to a) have such an outline...

  • Comment: Hide others

Just a suggestion for the users (I also think the shortcut should be implemented): Have you tried Isolator (http://willmore.eu/isolator/index.html) - it lets you concentrate on the frontmost application. As long as you don't want to hide the others to see your desktop, that could be an interesting solution. (There are also alternatives like Think, Doodim, etc.)

  • Comment: "Table of content" visible in separate window

Yes, that would be very helpful. IMHO also floats (graphics, tables, etc.) should be visible in this tree view.

  • Comment: Partial typesetting

I second this request. I'm also used to re-typeset my (large) document often to see if the modification was successful and then wayting times are annoying.

  • Comment: Integration of Finder's search function

I agree, this would be nice! Skim does this in a nice way indeed.
