Tried doing that, got the following output: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/baycloud/synpos/synPOS Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.baycloud.synpos.synPOS at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:200) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at...

It would be really good if it had some sort of api so that it could remain ERP-agnostic, at least supporting the FA "family" of projects (weberp, phreebooks, FA, EdgeERP) But a wiki for documentation would be a REALLY good start, especially if it started with information on how to install synpos on platforms other than windows, then you'd get an army of people playing around with it...

Hello Aaron Thanks for the help... I can host a wiki under a subdomain, but I may be able to get the guys over FA to give us a sub for a wiki. I would like to move our discussion over to the FA forum, we will get a lot more user support... The FA dev team will also be able to help with db sync planing etc. Please let me know what you think? AM.

I'm interested in helping on this. I propose: 1. Creating a wiki for online documentation (maybe twiki to integrate task management) 2. The database could be remote, say over an SSH tunnel. 3. Synchronize synpos with an ERP system using something like mysql triggers (they work across databases!)

So what do you think about moving this discussion over to FA forum, and put a plan together, and get some user support...?.

Hi Alvin, It should be ok to use FA as a back office and build a synpos connector for it. I haven't got chance to look at the FA code yet but I heard it's a fork of weberp. synpos is designed as a pos client for erp or ecommerce applications and very flexible, you can use it in single stoe or multi stores, single station or multi stations, real time sync, manual sync or no sync(stand alone).

Hello Harold Sorry it has taken me so long to get back here... I want to proceed with this... A plan: I would like to see FA used as a back office for synPOS. What information would you need from the FA dev team to build a connector? We will need data synchronization, for multi store locations and network outages, (the sale must go on) database to sync with a store server etc...

OK, sounds good... I went back to look at the program again, but I could not remember what the default username and password are? I will get some more information to you in the next post... AM.
