Synkron is a simple Qt application that allows you to sync folders, for example a flash disk with a folder on your hard disk.
Far from intuitive interface- Some functions not even mentioned in docs. Built-in uninstaller leaves leftovers.
First of all, I using the Mac version and although at first it seems to do the job, it has some major flaws. The most important one - for me - is that I can not get Synkron to propagate deletions. This effectively means that after doing a first sync, whenever I delete files from the Master directory I have to do the same in the Slave directory, or be OK with it that when I do a next sync my Master gets repopulated with files I no longer need. So, I might just as well use my OS to create a backup of my files, rendering Synkron pretty useless. `Funny´ thing is that if I read the forum posts, on Windows propagate deletions can not be switched off :-) Also, from the forum it becomes apparent that the creator/maintainer lacks the time to move on with this project. Result? I performed an uninstall...
