I am running synergy 1.3.1 on a Windows XP SP3 machine.
The file name accepted for the config file seems to be fixed.
My Scenario:
I use my laptop as my primary PC both at home, and at the office. I wanted to be able to configure Synergy for both locations, and just choose which configuration file to load using different shortcuts.
I started with a valid/tested config file (synergy.sgc) in the default locaitons.
I copied this file to a directory I created on my laptop (c:\synergy\), and renamed it to synergy1.sgc. I then tried running "synergys.exe --config c:\synergy\synergy1.sgc" (sans the quotes).
After going the rounds trying to figure out why I kept getting the "synergys: no configuration available" popup, I finally renamed the file back to synergy.sgc, and ran the command "synergys.exe --config c:\synergy\synergy.sgc" successfully.
Anyone have any ideas as to why I can specify different paths, but am restricted to a fixed filename for the config file?
