SymmetricDS is a data synchronization/replication solution. It is platform-independent, web-enabled, and database-agnostic. SymmetricDS was built to replicate changes between 'Retail Store' (POS) databases and an 'Enterprise' centralized database.

We are using SymmetricDS to replicate two-tiers of corporate Oracle databases with H2 databases running on POS registers in 6 countries. This software is highly recommended for its simplicity. We have been very successful in the retail environment utilizing SymmetricDS.
