Suite of programs to simplify sharing private files over public services such as FTP or a rented Vserver using key-based encryption. For strongly simplified use, a ticket-system, similar to the one of .torrent files, is employed.

I'm in the process of removing all exit() calls from the library so programs that use it are not crashing if one small thing doesn't work out - this is a step in direction of the library returning specific error codes if something doesn't work, which will strongly simplify error recovery in programs making use of it. The current code contains almost no exits anymore, the few last ones will be fixed soon.
The SVN repo has been reorganized and now contains the code for a C++ QT graphical user interface which is currently being written by DcMastor. We don't recommend to use this yet, as already make-ing it isn't straightforward, you'll have to add -lmcrypt and the like by yourself, so we advise to just wait for a beta release where everything is more polished. For the curious, check out the SVN repo. Cheers
A security-uncritical segfault has just been fixed in SVN, nothing big, and it's still a workaround. Anyway, if things crash with a segfault, get the SVN code, it should work.
Hashing progress reporting has been added in the SVN code, as well as an offlinemode bug fixed and a few unused options marked for deletion soon. Nothing really user-noticeable. The manpage for the library now has progressed, more is to come soon.
This release sees a couple of minor bugs fixed, some code refinements here and there, and a new feature: Progress reporting. As already announced, the -p switch can be used to monitor the percentage of the encryption/decryption process and also the progress of up/downloads. The man page on how to use the library is still work in progress, sorry for the delay. The cli clients man page and help output have been updated though. Head over to the releases page to get the new code. Cheers
Added progress reporting in percent to the network and crypto parts of the program. Progress reporting for the hashing facility and split/merge to follow soon.
I've just done some work on the progress reporting, the code from the SVN repo can now be told to output a (still ugly, though) percentage report on how far it is with encrypting and uploading via the option "-p". I'm still working out the kinks and will be making the visuals a lot better soon. Cheers
The directory mode feature has ultimately been dropped out of the library and determined for inclusion in the clients that use the library, for various reasons, i.e. the UNIX-philosophy: make a program do one thing and do it well. Hence, we decided to focus on the features currently implemented and brush those up. Work will continue now that our exams are over, we're planning on moving at least the library out of beta soon.
It has proven surprisingly difficult to find a cross-platform C library to easily create archives of directories, and hence the search for one still is underway. Meanwhile, the QT Interface is being developed and the cli client and the library itself further refined. The most stable code will hence be in SVN and not in the current release, as we're working on fixing bugs all the time.
