Supplets is a plugin for MS Internet Explorer which allows to make annotations on html pages like on paper, i.e. mark text on web pages and attach notes to text. This supplementary meta-page information is persistent and can be sent to friends via mail.

The current author is reading lots of articles online and wanted to take persistent notes on the page itself. The result is a MS Internet Explorer plugin which supports marking of text and attaching notes to text. This annotation Meta-Data is saved in XML-style files (Supplet) and can be sent over the web. Somebody receiving such a Supplet will see a web page where she either can follow the plain link or install the plugin quickly. In the latter case she will be able to see the annotations we made. I have no time at the moment to spend on further developing this tool but think it can be very useful to lots of people. Joining the project is a good opportunity to get into Windows programming with Delphi. Have a look at the executable alpha version if you are interested - it comes with an installation routine and creates a removal point as well so there is no risk of crashing your system. Thanks a lot for your attention!
