One more thing: it consumes 100% CPU while copying. According to /proc/stat and various monitors, the cpu spends most time doing system calls, not user, not I/O.

I'm getting very low transfer speeds when copying files to and from USB devices mounted via supermount. The problem appears only for USB devices (ie. not for CD's or DVD's), only when I mount them in read/write mode (ie. not when mounted read-only) and only for supermount. The problem does not appear if I mount them directly. This happens for a wide range of USB devices: card readers, HDD's in...

I have released path for kernel 2.6.19. There was not much testing but apparently some folks need it and unfortunately development seemed stalled (bad fate it seems).

Hi everybody.
A new version is out (hurray!)
I have also started a new version system. The version number of the supermount patches will from now on be the version number of the kernel that the patch applies to plus a 2 digit number. I think this will make it easier for everyone. So, that is why this is not version 2.0.5 but version 2.6.16-r1-01.

Sad to say, this project seems to have been dead for quite a while. Andrey Borzenkov (bor) that has been the administrator of this project has told me that it is very unlikely he will continue to work on it.
But now he has given Terje Bråten (that is me) full administration privileges to this project, and I hope we can have some life in this project again and it can be risen from the dead...
