IT took me a couple days to figure out what was happening, but it seems that the Lazarus project file refers to some of the units in locations that dont exist when you unzip the source.
It refers to the full path "C:\Projects\SuDokuMagic\" AND "C:\Projects\test1\SuDokuMagic\"
I was able to get it to work first by extracting the source files into both locations, then by...

Fixed in version 0.3.1. While I can not guarantee solving
complex puzzles, there were a number of bugs that prevented
solves on simple sudoku.

Yes I can quite believe this, I mention on the home page
that the solver is simple. Not sure if this is a bug or just
work incomplete ;-)
Anyway, work is underway to implement something a bit more
powerful.

The algorithm for validating a valid row within cSudoku.pas
had a bug, the comparison was using column reference instead
of a row.
Obvious error, but why was this not see before uploading?
hmm good job there are fine people out there testing this
code! Next upload will contain the fix. Do not want to
upload it yet as more functionality needs adding.

asking to solve the puzzle, often results in an
incomplete puzzle :(
happens both with generated and custom puzzles.
it misses even trivial numbers (like a column with just
one white space left)

I ran this app and clicked Generate New. The puzzle
created was not valid as the last column had two "1"s
pre-populated in it...
