An arcade shooter based on Seaquest (an old Atari game). The player uses their submarine to destroy sharks and enemy submarines while saving divers. Uses SDL.

Lost the source code (again) so I'm starting over. SubStandard will no longer be a direct clone of seaquest, but a 2D shooter (still using SDL). Currently, I'm putting the finishing touches to the design document (couple of gameplay issues I want to sort out) and putting together the framework the game will run on. This should be available for download pretty soon but GTA:Vice City could cause delays.
The first release of the SubStandard .exe should be available for download very soon as I uploaded it this morning. This version (though 0.08) is fully playable, although I still need to add difficulty levels (increase the speed of the enemy sprites) and some degree of enemy AI (nothing impressive, just make the enemy firing seem a little less predictable). Source to follow once I clean it up a little ;)
